Product Design Intern

Daybreak is looking for a design intern to join our product design team. We are looking for an exceptionally talented individual to either join us at our Toronto HQ or remotely from anywhere in the world.

You will be mentored by a senior product designer and craft exciting new web and mobile products for ambitious startups and industry leaders.

Commitment: Full-time, 3-4 months based on availability
Compensation: This is a paid position. Our ideal compensation range is between $3,000 and $4,000 and is determined based on the applicant's location.
There’s room for growth into a full-time position based on performance.

What you'll do

Work with a senior product designer to craft web and mobile experiences
Push product design patterns and experiment with unique visual directions and ideas
Participate in client meetings and translate research/feedback into insights that drive our product decisions
Create detailed prototypes that bring designs to life
Design assets for sharing our work on social media

Who you are

Currently enrolled in the last year of a full-time design program or 1+ year experience in a product design role
Strong understanding of UX principles, typography, composition, colour, and spacing
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate your design choices
A keen eye for details and a deep interest in levelling up your craft
Design and prototyping experience with Figma

Bonus to have:

Web design/development (JS, React), motion design, creative coding, or 3D design
